Magnitude 5.2 earthquake jolts Abra

MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude 5.2 earthquake rocked Abra on early Sunday morning, according to the Philippine Institute of Seismology and Volcanology (Phivolcs).

The epicenter of the earthquake, whoich struck at 2:27 a.m., was tracked by Phivolcs some 12 kilometers southwest of Pilar, Abra.

Phivolcs said damage and aftershocks are expected.

Phivolcs added that the temblor was an aftershock of the magnitude 7.0 earthquake that hit Abra on July 27.
