3 alleged marijuana sellers busted in Rizal

LUCENA CITY — Three were arrested for selling marijuana in buy-bust operations in San Mateo town in Rizal province on Saturday, August 27, police said in a report Sunday.

Police in Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon) said the suspects yielded more than P412,000 worth of the “weed.”

The report said that anti-narcotics agents collared Marlon Doria and Raymond Christian Adriano after they allegedly sold marijuana to an undercover police officer at 9:01 p.m. in Barangay (village) Ampid 1.

The police seized a weighing scale and 2.9 kilos of dried marijuana leaves with an estimated Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) value of P350,040.

The police also confiscated a motorcycle believed to have been used by the suspects in their distribution of marijuana.

The police tagged Doria as included on the drug watch list as an “HVI” or high-value individual in the local drug scene.

Earlier, police also nabbed Ivan Kim Agustin in another part of the village around 7:13 a.m. The suspect yielded 600 grams of marijuana worth P72,240.

Police were tracking the source of the illegal drugs.

All suspects are under police custody and will face charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
