LEGAZPI CITY—Three alleged drug personalities were arrested, and more than P1 million worth of shabu (crystal meth) were confiscated in separate buy-bust operations on Thursday, August 25, in Naga City in Camarines Sur province.
Senior Master Sergeant Tobias Bongon, Naga City police spokesperson, said Herjel Malaga, 34, was arrested in Barangay Sta. Cruz at 1:55 a.m. after selling a sachet of shabu worth P2,000 to an undercover agent.
Bongon said police recovered 0.6 grams of shabu worth P4,080 from Malaga, who was on the illegal drugs watch list in the Bicol region.
At 3:30 a.m., Rodel Palmiano, 47, and Charlie Sandigan, 40, sold a knot-tied plastic sachet of shabu worth P50,000 to an undercover agent in Barangay San Felipe.
Authorities confiscated 150 grams of shabu worth P1,020,000 from the suspects who previously surrendered to the police during the height of “Oplan Tokhang.”
Bongon said Palmiano was previously arrested for illegal possession of firearms.
The suspects face charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
