LIST: Canceled flights on August 24 due to ‘Florita’

MANILA, Philippines — Several flights were canceled on Wednesday due to inclement weather brought about by Severe tropical Storm “Florita,” the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) said.

In an advisory, MIAA said the following flights were canceled as of 8:27 a.m.:

“Florita” is now out of the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) but 11 areas are still under Signal No. 1, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.

Gusts of winds can still be expected until Thursday over some parts of Luzon, the weather bureau added.

“In the next 24 hours, gusts reaching strong breeze to gale-force strength may still be experienced (especially in the coastal and mountainous areas) over Mimaropa (Mindoro Occidental, Mindoro Oriental, Marinduque, Romblon, and Palawan), Metro Manila, Cavite, Quezon, Bulacan, Pampanga, Pangasinan, Aurora, and localities of Cordillera Administrative Region and Cagayan Valley that are not under any wind signal,” Pagasa said in a statement.
