MANILA, Philippines — More than 1,300 families were affected by Severe Tropical Storm Florita (international name: Ma-on), the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) reported on Wednesday.
In its latest situational report, the NDRRMC said a total of 1,344 families or 4,646 persons were affected in eight provinces in the country.
To date, the agency counted 1,529 displaced persons in 19 evacuation centers.
The NDRRMC has yet to confirm the total number of deaths and injuries.
But some reports indicated two people were killed in the province of Isabela.

‘Florita’ is now out of the Philippine Area of Responsibility, but 11 areas in the country are still under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1 on Wednesday, according to the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration.
