THE lone bettor who won the P68-million plus jackpot prize in the 6/55 Grand Lotto draw last Saturday bought the winning ticket in a lotto outlet in Soong, Lapu-Lapu City.
Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) Visayas-Mindanao Manager Federico Damole said the lucky bettor could be from the area or just happened to pass by there.
PCSO officials are required to keep confidential the identity of the winner.
The bettor correctly picked the winning combination 38-07-50-34-48-03, which bore the jackpot prize of P68,650,549.20.
“That’s tax free”, Damole told Cebu Daily News.
The owner of the lotto outlet run by the Salutillo family in Soong will also receive a seller’s prize from the PCSO.
Damole said this prize won’t exceed P500,000 but is not less than P150,000, depending on the share’s computation.
As of Tuesday afternoon, Damole said he had no feedback yet if the bettor had claimed the prize.
Damole said his office will be notified by their central office once the jackpot prize is claimed.
Damole said the P68 million plus jackpot prize last Saturday was the third won in Cebu this year.
The PCSO provincial manager said the previous two winners got the jackpot prize in the 6/45 and 6/42 draws.
Damole said the PCSOs Vis-Min area recorded more than a five percent increase in lotto sales for the first two months of the year compared to the same period last year.
But he could not give the figure right away.
“I’m happy about our good sales for this year”, he said. Correspondent Jhunnex Napallacan
