Job creation tackled at Marcos-Private Sector Advisory Council meeting

MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. met with the Private Sector Advisory Council (PSAC) to discuss plans on creating more jobs in the country.
At the meeting held on Wednesday at Malacañang, the PSAC gave Marcos recommendations on how to boost job creation in the country.
According to PSAC convener and Aboitiz Group president Sabin Aboitiz, the group disclosed five priority recommendations, including scaling up micro, small, and medium size businesses and identifying high-growth, labor-intensive industries.

Other recommendations include attracting more investors, making labor regulations more flexible, and developing skills for both short-term productivity and long-term competitiveness.
PSAC said they will have another meeting with Marcos in the coming weeks to lay out a roadmap that will help the Build, Build, Build and Tourism sectoral groups.
