LUCENA CITY – Anti-narcotics agents seized more than P403,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) from nine drug suspects in two operations on Saturday and Sunday in Rizal province.
Morong police operatives collared Reden Delas Armas, Catherine Niegas, Benjie Poliquit, Armin Diaz and Bernie Doria at around 2 a.m. on Sunday after they sold shabu to an undercover police officer in Barangay Guitnang Bayan II.
The authorities confiscated 15 plastic sachets of shabu weighing 50 grams with an estimated value of P340,000.
Police tagged Delas Armas as an alleged member of a criminal syndicate. He was also included on the police drug watch list as an “HVI” or high-value individual on the local drug scene.
In Antipolo City, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency operatives and local policemen busted the group of Charlie Estabilla, Romeo Dominador, Richard Saysay and Rickrod Gegania in a drug sting in Barangay Sta. Cruz at around 4:50 p.m. on Saturday.
The suspects yielded 15 grams of meth worth an estimated P103, 500.
All suspects were detained and are facing a formal complaint for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
