Corona wife ‘acceptance’ of Makati condo unit happened in 2009—witness
MANILA, Philippines – The “acceptance” of a condominium unit in Makati City by the wife of Chief Justice Renato Corona happened only in August 2009, a witness for the defense told the Senate, acting as an impeachment court, Tuesday.
Carmina Cruz, custom’s relations’ head of Alveo Land, developer of “The Columns” in Ayala, said the “acceptance” of the P3.588 million unit by Mrs. Corona happened in August 2009.
The prosecution claimed that the Corona condominium was bought in 2004 and was declared only in the chief justice’s statement of assets, liabilities and networth (SALN) of 2010.
Cruz is the second witness presented by the defense team after Benz Lim, property manager of the “Columns”.
