Body of gov’t worker found floating in waters off Ilocos Norte

LAOAG CITY, Ilocos Norte — The body of an employee of the local government of Vintar town in Ilocos Norte province was found floating at sea on Friday (August 12) morning.
Authorities identified the victim as Cyryne Diza, 24, a resident of Manarang village in Vintar.

Pasuquin police said that they responded to a call from a concerned citizen that Diza’s body was found floating at around 6:30 a.m. at the seashore in Caruan village in nearby Pasuquin town.
Based on an initial investigation, police said some residents sighted the victim sitting alone at a cottage by the seashore in Caruan on Thursday afternoon.
