FOUR armed men were arrested by police just as they were about to rob a construction firm’s payroll in barangay Labogon, Mandaue City, last Saturday afternoon.
Two of the suspects identified as Sesando Sullano Jr. of barangay Labogon, Mandaue City, and Adonis Sala of Consolacion town were arrested after they were spotted riding on a motorcycle with a folded plate number.
When frisked by police, both men yielded two revolvers and small packets of shabu.
Upon interrogation, the two men admitted that they were about to rob a construction company’s payroll with two cohorts.
The cohorts identified as 36-year-old Jeneby Simblante and Arsenio Sanchez Jr., a 36-year-old former employee of the construction firm, were later arrested.
Their leader identified as Hilario Sollano nicknamed “Undo” was not at home in Labogon.
Hilario has a pending arrest warrant on robbery charges issued by Judge Manuel Sese of Branch 49 RTC of Masbate.
Police are still checking if the group is related to the Masbate Robbery Group that operates in Masbate, Manila and Metro Cebu. Correspondent Norman V. Mendoza
