/ 07:11 AM June 20, 2011

LAPU-LAPU City Mayor Paz Radaza called on the Oponganons to help the city government save its natural resources.

Radaza encouraged them to clean and segregate their garbage as a way to help the government. She made her appeal during her 50th Charter anniversary message of the Lapu-Lapu City on Friday.

Radaza said  these resources were factors in the the city’s tourism industry, which is the city’s focus for the coming years.

“As we journey onward to the next 50 years, let us focus on tourism. Our city is blessed with a long stretch of nice beaches dotted with five star hotels and resorts. Tourism is our city’s bread and butter. Nilambo atong siyudad tungod sa turismo,” Mayor Paz Radaza said last Friday night at the Millennium park under the Marcelo B. Fernan Bridge. /Reporter Jucell Marie P. Cuyos
