Most wanted felon in Ilocos Norte falls

LAOAG CITY, Ilocos Norte — The suspect behind the murder of a seaman last March in Badoc town, Ilocos Norte province was arrested by authorities, the Ilocos Norte provincial police office said Monday, Aug. 8.

Police identified the suspect as Jeffrey Guzman, who was linked to a gun-for-hire group in the province, Col. Julius Suriben, acting police provincial director, said during a press briefing.

Suriben said Guzman was arrested during a man-hunt operation in Taguig City, Metro Manila.

The suspect had been involved in at least four shooting incidents in the province and in-possession of loose firearms. Cases have already been filed against the suspect, Suriben said.

“We are appealing to the witnesses and other victims to come out so that we can help you file a case against this person,” said Suriben. INQ
