LUCENA CITY — A food delivery rider died early Sunday, Aug. 7, in a road accident in Batangas City, police said.
Batangas police in a report said motorcyclist Christian Rodave De Guzman, 41, a delivery man of Foodpanda, was traversing the provincial road in Barangay (village) San Jose Sico around 3:30 a.m.
The rider hit the warning device placed on ongoing road construction, fell on the excavated area, and sustained severe injuries.
The victim was taken to Batangas Medical Hospital but died along the way.
The police said the concerned parties are open to an amicable settlement.
