P4.6-M worth of illegal drugs seized in Iloilo ops since January

ILOILO CITY — The Iloilo Provincial Police Office has seized a total of P4.6 million worth of illegal drugs in operations from January to August 2022.

The 683.408 grams of shabu were confiscated during at least 56 anti-illegal drug operations which led to the arrest of 71 drug personalities.

Col. Adrian Acollador, chief of the Iloilo police, said most of the drug personalities in the province are newly-identified and were recruited by suppliers outside the region in an attempt to revive their drug operations.

“We cannot allow them to waste the gains of our barangay drug clearing programs. We have to be on guard and stay determined to make Iloilo province as drug-free,” he said.
