62 more COVID-19 cases logged in Pampanga’s capital city

MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga—Sixty-two new COVID-19 cases were recorded Wednesday, August 3, in the City of San Fernando, data from the city health office showed.

Of the 62 new cases, 16 were in Baliti village, 11 in adjacent Sindalan, and six in Dolores.

Dolores has the highest number of active cases at 30, followed by Sindalan (29), and Baliti (20).

The capital city’s active COVID-19 cases stood at 239.

On Wednesday, the city health office registered 10 recoveries and zero deaths.

Since the pandemic started in 2020, San Fernando has recorded 15,041 COVID-19 cases, of which 14,356 had recovered, while 346 had died.

The city government has been urging people to continue wearing face masks in public places, observe physical distancing, and frequent hand washing. INQ
