Six wounded in shooting incident in Iloilo City

ILOILO CITY — At least six people were shot and wounded by still unidentified persons in Barangay Tacas, Jaro town on Tuesday.

Four of the victims were brought to Western Visayas Medical Center for medical treatment.

Senior Engineer Mark Ringor, a resident of Manila, and his colleague Engineer Jessen Deaño from Barotac Nuevo, Iloilo sustained a wound on their shoulders.

Another victim, Antonio Gasis, also from Barotac Nuevo was shot near his eye.

Edgar Castro of Baldoza, La Paz was shot near his buttocks.

Meanwhile, Ace Locsin and a certain Jonel were brought to West Visayas State University Medical Center after sustaining wounds on their knee and shoulder, respectively.

Police investigators have yet to determine the motive behind the shooting as well as the identities of the perpetrators.
