MANILA, Philippines — The wake of the late former President Fidel V. Ramos is set to start on Thursday, August 4 until August 8, his family announced on Tuesday.
Ramos’ grandson, Sam Ramos-Jones, said the wake would be at Heritage Park in Taguig City.
“Our family is truly grateful for the overwhelming outpouring of support and well wishes,” Ramos-Jones said in a statement.
“As we grieve, let us also celebrate a rich life – dedicated in service to this nation and its people,” he added.
The wake will have a schedule for specific groups and sectors to visit to “manage the flow of guests and better adhere to COVID-19 precautions,” Ramos-Jones said.

Former President Ramos will be interred at the Libingan ng mga Bayani on August 9.
Ramos-Jones asked those who wish to send flowers to donate instead to one of the charitable institutions close to the former president, which are the following:

Ramos passed away at the age of 94 on Sunday.
