SAN JOSE DE BUENAVISTA, Antique — Western Visayas will keep its COVID-19 status from August 1 to 15.
Aklan, Capiz, Guimaras, Iloilo City and province, Bacolod City, and Barbaza town in Antique will be under Alert Level 1, according to the Department of Health.
Under COVID-19 Alert Level 1, all restrictions, including travel, transportation and venue capacity, are removed. Businesses are also allowed to operate and schools can implement in-person classes.
Other municipalities in Antique and Negros Occidental are under COVID-19 Alert Level 2.
Dr. Maria Rosario Singh-Vergeire, officer-in-charge of the DOH, urged the public to follow the health protocols to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
“Our continued compliance with the minimum public health standards include wearing of the best fitting mask, isolating when sick, doubling up protection through vaccines and boosters, and ensuring good airflow. Join our new campaign to help us open up better and stronger,” she said.
