MANILA, Philippines — The Light Rail Transit Line 2 (LRT-2) resumed normal operations on Monday, August 1, after operations were disrupted on Sunday due to a technical glitch.
“LRT-2 will resume its normal operations from Antipolo to Recto today, August 1, 2022 at 5:00 AM,” the Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) said in a Twitter post.

As of 7 a.m., seven trains were running, with a headway of 12 minutes, LRT-2 management said.
LRT-2 limited its trips on Sunday after an overhead catenary cable between the Legarda and Pureza stations broke.
It implemented a provisional service at around 8 a.m. at the train’s east stations from Araneta Center-Cubao to Antipolo during the repair.
The LRT-2’s stations from Betty Go-Belmonte to Recto stations were temporarily shut down.
LRT-2 said it suspended train trips before 10 a.m. to give way to “a multipurpose vehicle that was used to fix the catenary wire.”
