Pagasa: Cloudy Monday with isolated rain showers nationwide
MANILA, Philippines — Cloudy skies and rain showers due to the southwest monsoon or “habagat” will affect most parts o the country on Monday, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
“Kasalukuyan, malaking bahagi ng Luzon ay nakakaranas ng maulap na kalangitan na may pag-ulan dulot ng habagat o southwest monsoon,”Pagasa weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio said.
(A large part of Luzon is experiencing cloudy skies and rain showers due to the southwest monsoon.)
“May inaasahan pa rin tayo na mahihina hanggang sa katamtaman hanggang sa kung minsan ay malalakas na pag-ulan dulot nito,” Aurelio added.
(Light to moderate and at times heavy rains due to the southwest monsoon are expected.)
Article continues after this advertisementThe state weather bureau said that in particular, Metro Manila, Western Visayas, Ilocos region, Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, and Mimaropa will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms.
Article continues after this advertisementThe rest of the country, meanwhile, will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains or thunderstorms.
Pagasa warned of possible flash floods and landslides in rain-affected areas.
