Delos Santos rules women’s 21k race

MARY Grace delos Santos and Kenyan Joshpat Kiptanui dominated the 21-kilometer race of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE)-Philippines’ Goiter, Obesity, Osteoporosis and Diabetes (G.O.O.D) Run yesterday at the Ayala Center Cebu’s The Terraces.

Delos Santos logged in a time of one hour, 34 minutes and 33 seconds to win the women’s crown while Kiptanui clocked one hour, 14 minutes and 47 seconds to bag the men’s title.

Mary Joy Tabal of Southwestern University and Kenyan Francis Kakui, on the other hand, won in the 10k category.

Tabal finished the women’s race in 49 minutes and 17 seconds while Kakui has topped the men’s side in 43 minutes and six seconds.

FEATURED STORIES

The Andrin siblings continued their winning ways as they dominated the 6k women’s category.

Lovely Fe Andrin placed first (25:37) followed by Jhean Andrin (25:39) and Cherry Andrin (27:47). Jorry Ycong topped the men’s 6k side with a time of 20 minutes and 39 seconds.
