WHITE crushed top-rival Green, 83-73, Thursday night in the ongoing elimination round of the Customs hoop dubbed as the 3rd Major Alfonso Abbariao Cup-Biggest Loser 2012, Inter-color basketball tournament at the Basak San Nicolas gym.
The win put White on top of the leaderboard with a 5-1 win-loss record while Green trails with a 4-2 card.
Both camps finished the first quarter tied at 22-all, but White outscored Green in the 2nd period, 23-17 for a 45-39 edge at the half.
White was at its most potent in the third where it posted a commanding 17-point lead, 68-51, entering the final canto.
Boodie Monteño and Andrew Yu led White with 16 and 14 points, respectively, while Jingjing Rama and Noel Medalle paced Green with a game-high 27 and 22 markers.
In the other game, Blue barged into the win column after upsetting Red, 64-51 for a 1-5 record while Red dropped to 2-4.
Raymund Delig and Mark Gornez led Blue with 22 and 18 points, respectively. /Correspondent Dale Rosal
