10 suspects yield P226k shabu, gun in Rizal and Cavite buy-busts

LUCENA CITY – Police arrested 10 alleged drug pushers and seized over P226,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) and an illegal firearm early Saturday, July 30, in separate buy-bust operations in Rizal and Cavite provinces.

Police operatives from San Mateo, Rizal drug enforcement unit nabbed Jomer Pastor and Jovanny Domingo after reportedly selling a plastic sachet of shabu to an undercover cop in Barangay (village) Guitnang Bayan 1 around 1:45 a.m., the Police Regional Office 4-A said in a report.

The police seized nine sachets of shabu weighing 16 grams with an estimated Dangerous Drugs (DDB) Board value of P108,800.

Meanwhile, in Bacoor City, Cavite, anti-narcotics agents collared Kate Lopez, Rommel Inez, Albert Martinez, and Marth Vincent Lumbre in a drug sting operation in Barangay Molino 2 around 12:15 a.m. The suspects yielded 12 sachets weighing 10 grams with a DDB value of P68,000.

Bacoor cops also arrested Robert Rafols, Vicente Guillermo, and Arnel Dagayluan in Barangay Queensrow East at 4 a.m.

Authorities seized seven sachets of meth with a DDB value of P50,000.

Additionally, police officers arrested Jonathan Gonzaga Jr. in the village of San Francisco in Gen. Trias town around 2:30 a.m.

Seized from the suspects were four sachets of meth and an undocumented caliber .38 revolver with four bullets.

The police report did not indicate the volume and price of the seized illegal drugs.

The suspects were placed under police custody and would face charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Gonzaga will also be slapped with another case for illegal possession of a firearm.
