Nine kidnap suspects nabbed in Pampanga

MANILA, Philippines — Seven Chinese nationals and two Filipinos were arrested in Pampanga for alleged kidnapping, the Philippine National Police (PNP) said Friday.

Citing a police report, PNP said the victim – also of Chinese descent – was attacked and abducted by more than 10 male Chinese nationals in Angeles City last Friday, July 22.

He was rescued by police in the town of Porac on Thursday after he was able to call his live-in partner and share details on his then-current location.

Police sought help from the owner of one of the suspects’ rented vehicles, which was later tracked through GPS.

According to PNP, the car’s location also led them to the house where the victim was being held.

Nine suspects, with seven Chinese nationals among them, were arrested by police after they were caught guarding the said area.

PNP officer-in-charge Vicente Danao Jr. said they would contact police authorities in China to move forward with the case.
