OLONGAPO CITY—A 2-year-old girl and nine other residents here were the latest to get infected with COVID-19 as the city continues to see an uptick in virus cases, local data showed.

According to the local COVID-19 task force, the toddler is a resident of Barangay Barretto. She was vomiting and had a fever.

The other newly infected patients are ages between 24 and 82, and all were fully vaccinated against the viral disease. Most displayed COVID-19 symptoms such as coughs, sore throats, and colds.

The city had 48 active COVID-19 cases as of Thursday out of the 7,119 infections recorded since 2020. At least 6,718 have recovered, while 353 have died.
