SAN JOSE DE BUENAVISTA, Antique — The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) on Monday announced that it is conducting a free mobile birth certificate application and registration project for residents of Antique.
Randy Tacogdoy, chief statistical specialist, said the program was intended for residents of Antique who do not yet have their birth certificates.
Tacogdoy said they are aiming to register 16,000 people in Antique.
He urged Antiqueños to participate in the project, most importantly those who cannot afford to process their registration due to the cost.
Tacogdoy said the program consists of processing registration papers and providing free PSA copies of the birth certificates.
By September 2022, they plan to complete the list of those interested in availing the program.
Those who are interested in the program can either wait for PSA announcements or ask the local municipal registrar how and when to do so.
PSA birth certificate is required for a number of activities, including job applications, government services, and for school enrollment.
At present, Antiqueños who want to process their PSA birth certificates have to travel to Iloilo City.
