TOKYO — A white whale hurls water at visitors at Yokohama Hakkeijima Seaparadise in Yokohama’s Kanazawa Ward. The whale shoots water at spectators from their mouths during a daily event called “Splash Time.” The popular event restarted in mid-July for the first time in three years due to the novel coronavirus pandemic. “The water was very refreshing,” said a six-year-old girl from Chofu, Tokyo. “It was my first time to see a white whale. Its face was so sweet and cute.” The daily event is being held until Aug. 31.
