MANILA, Philippines – Senator Robin Padilla said Wednesday that he had resolved his issue with Senator Joel Villanueva after he abstained from voting the latter as the Senate Majority Leader.

Padilla, in a statement, revealed that he and Villanueva discussed the matter during the Senate’s plenary session on Tuesday.

“Ngayon, okay na kami (Now, we’re okay),” he said.

The neophyte lawmaker then reiterated that his choice not to vote for Villanueva as Majority Floor Leader was nothing personal.

“Definitely, hindi personal iyon. Hindi tayo namemersonal (Definitely, it was not personal. We do not get personal),” he added.
