ANGELES CITY—Mayor Carmelo Lazatin Jr. ordered the city engineer’s office to immediately inspect church and school buildings and other structures after the magnitude 7 earthquake on Wednesday morning.
The mayor said the city hall and other public buildings would also be subjected to ocular inspection.
He also asked the district office of the Department of Public Works and Highways to inspect all the bridges in this city.
Lazatin said the structural integrity of all buildings and bridges must be ascertained to ensure public safety after the earthquake. INQ
