MANILA, Philippines — The Office of the Vice President (OVP) Sara Duterte on Wednesday said it is eyeing to provide succeeding vice presidents and their personnel a “permanent home and office.”

OVP spokesman Reynold Munsayac said the move will result in “stability and reduced cost in office operations.”

“The OVP aims to establish and construct a permanent home and office for succeeding vice presidents and the OVP personnel,” he said in a press conference.

“This will result in stability and reduced cost in office operations considering that future Vice Presidents would no longer need to rent temporary offices to house their staff,” Munsayac added.

With a permanent office, Munsayac said OVP personnel will no longer be “uprooted” every time a new vice president is elected.

“This will enhance efficiency in the delivery of social services to the people,” he said.

The OVP is currently holding office in Mandaluyong City. However, during the stint of former Vice President Leni Robredo, the OVP held office at the Quezon City Reception House in New Manila in Quezon City.
