LEGAZPI CITY—A 40-year-old man was killed in a shooting incident on Monday, July 25, in Sipocot town in Camarines Sur province.

Camarines Sur police reported on Tuesday that unidentified men shot at around 8:30 p.m. Julio Braga as he was back riding a motorcycle driven by Joeue Toribio in Barangay Calagbangan. Braga and Toribio are residents of Lupi town.

Police said Toribio stopped after the victim fell on the concrete pavement. The suspects fired two more shots that killed Braga instantly.

Toribio was unharmed, police said. The suspects escaped after the incident.

It was unclear whether the suspects were on foot or were using a vehicle, but Toribio told investigators that he saw a van leaving the crime scene.

The police were conducting further investigation to identify the perpetrators and the motive behind the killing.
