Oriental Mindoro gov, wife catch COVID-19
CITY OF CALAPAN—Oriental Mindoro Governor Humerlito Dolor and his wife, Hiyas Govinda, have gone into isolation after contracting COVID-19 recently.
Dolor announced their condition in a video posted on his social media page on July 23, adding that they were in isolation for three days at that time.
The governor said he had stopped showing symptoms of the viral disease.
After coming from work at the provincial capitol on July 20, Dolor said he felt body pain and a slight increase in body temperature, so he canceled all his appointments until July 21 to ensure others’ safety.
He said his full vaccination and a booster shot against COVID-19 helped him get better protection. He encouraged others to do the same.
