3 hurt in Sorsogon town gun attack

Alleged gun-runner held in Laguna

LEGAZPI CITY—Three people were wounded on Sunday (July 24) night, during a gun attack in Bulan town in Sorsogon.

Major Maria Luisa Calubaquib, Bicol police spokesperson, identified the victims as Roberto Soliman, 62; Ma. Cristina Montalvo, 40; and a 4-year-old boy, residents of Barangay Lajong of Bulan.

The victims were aboard a motorcycle driven by Soliman when at around 9:30 p.m., an unidentified assailant shot them in Barangay N. Roque, said Calubaquib.

Investigators said the victims were heading home after attending a birthday party in Matnog town when attacked. They were brought to a hospital for treatment.

The police were conducting further investigation to identify the perpetrators who escaped after the shooting. INQ
