CITY OF CALAPAN – The Mimaropa (Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Palawan) police, through its chief, Brig.  Gen.  Sidney Sultan Hernia, has directed the full deployment of police personnel to heighten security measures ahead of the first State of the Nation Address (SONA) of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. on Monday, July 25.

In a statement, Hernia said the deployment is also meant to intensify anti-crime operations, and more police personnel would be sent to different areas as the need arises to undertake civil disturbance management operations.

He also directed other police units to work closely with their counterparts in the Armed Forces of the Philippines, force multipliers, stakeholders, and local governments to ensure peace and order during the SONA
