DBTC wins 4 titles
The Don Bosco Technology Center (DBTC) was the big winner yesterday as it clinched four titles in the finals stages of the 14th Aboitiz Football Cup at the Aboitiz Sports Field in Subangdaku, Mandaue City.
The Greywolves showed their dominance after going home with the titles in the players 8, players 10, boys 12 and boys 14 categories.
In the players 8, DBTC 1 retained its title after blanking Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu (SHS-AdC), 2-0, in the finals.
Third place went to Canduman Dedon, who edged Guiseppe FC, 2-1.
In the players 10, DBTC 4 once again frustrated the Magis Eagles with a 3-2 victory.
Bright Academy won the fight for third after squeaking past DBTC 5, 3-2.

In the boys 14, which was played in a league-type format, DBTC A wrested the title from Mandaue Technical Institute (MTI) by winning all of its nine matches.
DBTC A earned its 9th win yesterday when Abellana National School (ANS) Pomeroy defaulted in their match.
SHS-AdC did not go home empty-handed after thrashing Colegio de la Inmaculada Concepcion Mandaue (CIC-M), 3-0, to bag the girls U17 title.
DBTC has a chance to add another title to its name after advancing to the men’s U19 finals with a 2-1 edging of ANS Pomeroy in a semis match that was extended for 30 minutes after the regulation match ended in 1-all.
Jun Jay Arizabal had recovered from a sluggish performance to score the goal, which put DBTC into the finals.
