Suspected drug pusher slain in Bulacan; P700,000 shabu, marijuana seized from 34 suspects

CAMP GEN. ALEJO S. SANTOS, Bulacan—A suspected drug pusher was killed, while 34 others yielded nearly P700,000 worth of shabu and marijuana in buy-bust operations on Friday and Saturday in Bulacan province.

Killed in a buy-bust operation that turned into a shootout at 8:40 p.m. on July 22 in Barangay Santor in Malolos was Sherwin Thompson, a police report said.

Police retaliated after Thompson fired at them when he ran to evade arrest. He was killed on the spot.

Thomason’s two cohorts—Romeo Estable and Eric Uy—were arrested.

At around 11:30 p.m. in Barangay Tigbe, Norzagaray, Richard Isidro, 38; Aldous Edrick Santiago, 25; and John Ervin Manahan, 33, all of the City of San Jose del Monte, were arrested in another operation.

At 1:10 a.m. on July 23 in Barangay Gaya Gaya, San Jose Del Monte, police arrested Rolly Mendoza, 45; Oliver Lambino, 44; and Analiza Lambino, 48 in a buy-bust.

Twenty-six other drug suspects were also arrested in a series of anti-illegal drug busts in San Rafael, Pandi, City of Meycauayan, Plaridel, Baliwag, Balagtas, Bulakan, Bocaue, Paombong, San Miguel, Calumpit, City of San Jose del Monte, and Marilao.

Seized from them were nearly 70 grams of shabu and about 600 grams of marijuana worth P682,000, along with firearms, weighing scales, drug paraphernalia, and ammunition.
