Parts of Luzon, Visayas to have scattered rains in next 24 hours
MANILA, Philippines — The weather bureau said Thursday that some areas in Luzon and Visayas will have cloudy skies and scattered rains in the next 24 hours due to a low-pressure area.
In its 24-hour weather bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms will prevail over the following areas:
- Metro Manila
- Central Luzon
- Calabarzon
- Mimaropa
- Bicol Region
- Aklan
- Antique
- Capiz
- Iloilo
Meanwhile, the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms.
Pagasa warned for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to, at times, heavy rains or severe thunderstorms.
Article continues after this advertisementLight to moderate wind speeds from east to the northeast is expected to prevail over the whole country, coupled with slight to moderate coastal waters.
Pagasa said it recorded today a minimum temperature of 25.2°C (7:00 a.m.) and a maximum temperature of 29.1°C (1:50 p.m.) at its Science Garden weather station in Diliman, Quezon City.
Forecast sunset on Thursday will be at 6:29 p.m. while sunrise on Friday will be at 5:37 a.m.
