LEGAZPI CITY—Anti-narcotics operatives arrested 12 suspected drug personalities in separate buy-bust operations on Wednesday, July 20, in Bicol, reports said Thursday.
In Naga City in Camarines Sur province, Amadio Malano, Noel Valin, Herbie Acabado, Glindmor Fabella, and Richard Rivera were arrested at 10:16 p.m. in Barangay Concepcion Pequeña.
Master Sergeant Tobias Bongon, Naga City police spokesperson, said Malano sold three grams of shabu (crystal meth) worth P7,500 to an undercover agent in an abandoned house suspected to be a drug den. The authorities also seized another 10 grams of shabu from the four suspects.
Bongon said authorities recovered 13 grams of shabu worth P88,400.
In Calabanga town, Jeric Brucal, 37, was arrested at 4:05 p.m. in Barangay Manguiring. Authorities recovered 1.4 grams of shabu worth P9,520 from him.
In Pasacao town, Danny Borja, 43, was arrested in Barangay Sta. Rosa Del Norte at around 11:20 a.m. Confiscated were six sachets of shabu. Camarines Sur police tagged Brucal and Borja as street-level drug suspects.
In Balatan town, Lester John Junio, 30, was arrested around 6:45 a.m. A sachet of shabu worth P500 was recovered from Junio.
Camarines Norte
Major Maria Luisa Calubaquib, Bicol police spokesperson said anti-illegal drugs agents dismantled a drug den in Barangay III in Daet town.
Calubaquib said Alex Montuya, 64; Joey Ornido, 40, and Reynante Bacerdo, 45, were arrested during the buy-bust operation in the area at 10:55 a.m. Recovered were eight sachets, or 10 grams of shabu, worth P68,000 and other drug paraphernalia.
Albay
In Ligao City, Andhrei Federico Laurencio, 21, was arrested at 8:50 p.m. in Barangay Tuburan.
Calubaquib said police confiscated a sachet of shabu worth P500 from the suspect.
The suspects face charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
