MANILA, Philippines — A 4.6 magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Oriental early Wednesday morning, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).
According to the Phivolcs, the earthquake occured at 5:14 a.m., with its epicenter traced 58 kilometers (km) southeast of Caraga, Davao Oriental.
State seismologists said that the quake was tectonic in origin and had a depth of focus of only 1 kilometer.
No damage and aftershocks are expected, said Phivolcs.
