Taguig’s 8th most wanted fugitive, robbery-hold up gang member nabbed

MANILA, Philippines — Taguig City’s eighth most wanted fugitive, allegedly a member of the Bobby Arao Robbery Hold-Up criminal group, was arrested in a police operation, the Southern Police District (SPD) said on Tuesday.

SPD director Brig. Gen. Jimili Macaraeg said in a report that the suspect, 22-year-old Rodnel Bula, was arrested on Monday afternoon after Taguig City’s Warrant and Subpoena Section and Intelligence Section during the conduct of a Simultaneous Anti Criminality and Law Enforcement Operation.

Police said the suspect has a pending arrest order for violation of Republic Act 10883 or the New Anti-Carnapping Act of 2016, issued by Judge Loralie Cruz Datahan of the Regional Trial Court Branch 69 in Taguig City.

Macaraeg said that the arrest order was released last June 1.

“Pinupuri ko ang ating mga awtoridad sa kanilang walang humpay na pagtugis sa mga mga most wanted personalities sa ating lugar,” the SPD chief said.

(I commend our authorities for their relentless pursuit of the most wanted personalities in our area.)

“Hinihimok ko ang ating komunidad na huwag mag dalawang isip na isumbong sa ating awtoridad ang mga kriminal na nagtatago sa batas,” he added.

(I urge our community not to hesitate to report the criminals hiding under the law to our authorities.) With reports from Christine Annie Asistio, INQUIRER.net trainee
