Mall to join Earth Hour anew

09:39 AM March 17, 2012

SM City Cebu, in cooperation with Radisson Blu Hotel, will once again join the Earth Hour on March 31.

When the clock strikes at 8:30 p.m., SM City Cebu and its tenants and Radisson Blu Hotel will turn off their lights.

Earth Hour is a global initiative where individuals, businesses, governments and communities are invited to turn off their lights for one hour to show support for the environment. The event began in Sydney in 2007, when two million people switched off their lights. By 2011, Earth Hour was reported as “the world’s largest campaign for the planet” with over 135 countries and territories participating in the celebration.
