Ecstasy worth P6.7M seized in Cebu City
CEBU CITY—Philippine Drugs Enforcement Agency (PDEA) agents in Central Visayas on Monday seized at least P6.7 million worth of ecstasy in Barangay Pasil, Cebu City.
PDEA identified the suspect as Lunel Paden of Barangay Suba. He received the parcels containing 2,900 pieces of ecstasy.
PDEA-7 Director Levi Ortiz said the prohibited drug was first seized by the Bureau of Customs at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport last July 10.
The packs of ecstasy, he said, came from the Netherlands and were supposed to be delivered in Cebu.
“The suspect has long wanted to get ecstasy. Now, he finally answered our text message, so we decided to conduct the operation,” said Ortiz.
