MANILA, Philippines — A 43-year-old woman was shot dead by a still unidentified gunman in Quezon City, the Quezon City Task Force Disiplina (QC-TFD) reported.

In a statement, the task force identified the woman as “Sheryl.” She was reportedly gunned down near the Don Fabian overpass leading to the Philippine Coconut Authority.

Citing a police report, the QC-TFD said in the same statement released Sunday that the victim suffered a headshot wound.

“Sheryl” is said to be a resident of Brgy. Sta Monica in Novaliches, according to the task force.

The QC-TFD said the reason behind the woman’s killing is still unknown, but further investigation is underway. — Iliana Padigos, INQUIRER.net intern
