Man kills parents in Nueva Vizcaya, police say
DIADI, Nueva Vizcaya—A 28-year-old man on Thursday stabbed his parents to death and wounded his sister in Kayapa town in this province.
Lieutenant Joefrey Nool, Kayapa deputy police chief, said Iryb Baltazar stabbed his sleeping parents, Ruben, 68, and Nora Baltazar, 65.
An initial investigation showed that the suspect also stabbed and wounded his younger sister, Shayra, 26, who tried to pacify him.
The police said Shayra managed to run and seek help from an aunt living nearby.
The family members believed that Iryb, who did not resist arrest, suffered from a mental disorder. INQ
