MANILA, Philippines — Metro Manila and the rest of the country are expected to have isolated rains or thunderstorms in the next 24 hours due to the southwest monsoon and localized thunderstorms, the weather bureau said Thursday.
In its 24-hour bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said this weather condition will mostly occur in the western section of Luzon.
It added that the southwest monsoon will affect the western section of Northern and Central Luzon in the next 24 hours.
Moderate to strong winds in the southwest direction are expected over the western section of Luzon with moderate to rough sea conditions.
Meanwhile, the rest of the Philippines will have light to moderate winds from southwest to southeast, coupled with slight to moderate coastal waters.
Pagasa said it recorded a minimum temperature of 25°C (6 a.m.) and a maximum temperature of 32.8°C (1:55 p.m.) at its Science Garden weather station in Diliman, Quezon City.
Forecast sunset on Thursday will be at 6:29 p.m. while sunrise on Friday will be at 5:35 a.m.
