Pampanga logs 51 new COVID-19 cases

MABALACAT CITY—Pampanga registered 51 new COVID-19 cases in 13 of its 21 localities on Wednesday, July 13.

In its latest update, the provincial government said the capital city of San Fernando alone recorded 21 new cases.

The other localities with new cases include Guagua town (8), Lubao (5), Porac (4), Apalit (3), Macabebe (2), and one each for Mabalacat, Sasmuan, Santa Rita, Bacolor, Sta. Ana, and Minalin.

The town of Masantol, which was free of COVID-19 for several months, reported two new cases on Wednesday. All localities in the province now have active cases.

Pampanga now has 241 active COVID-19 cases. It reported 25 new recoveries and zero deaths on Wednesday.

Since the pandemic started in 2020, the province had recorded 57,293 cases, of which 54,454 had recovered, while 2,598 had died.

The provincial government has been urging the public to continue wearing face masks and observe physical distancing. INQ
