LEGAZPI CITY—Police arrested six drug suspects and seized more than P242,000 worth of shabu in separate buy-bust operations Monday in Camarines Sur province.

Master Sergeant Tobias Bongon, Naga City police spokesperson, reported Tuesday that Arnel Baron, 38, was arrested at 10:40 p.m. in Barangay Triangulo.

Authorities confiscated five sachets of shabu worth P3,536 from the suspect.

In Barangay San Felipe, Nicanor Almediere Jr., 37, was arrested in a separate operation around 4:30 p.m.

Anti-narcotics agents recovered 25 grams of shabu worth P238,000.

Bongon said Almediere was a high-value target on the illegal drugs watch list.

In Barangay San Miguel in Calabanga town, Jonathan Bueza, 32; Kevin Azuela, 18; and Erick Velasco, 18 were arrested at 7:35 p.m.

Authorities recovered a plastic bag of shabu, three sachets with traces of shabu, and drug tools.

The provincial police said Bueza was a high-value target.

In Camaligan town, Moises Paycana, 48, was arrested at around 4 p.m. after selling a sachet of shabu worth P500 in Barangay San Roque.

Authorities recovered two sachets of shabu, an improvised caliber 9-mm gun with three live bullets and drug tools.

The suspects face charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
