4 domestic flights canceled due to monsoon rains — MIAA

Canceled flights

MANILA, Philippines — Four domestic flights were canceled on Friday due to inclement weather, the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) announced.

In an advisory, the MIAA said that the following flights have been canceled:

PAL Express
2P 2905 Manila – San Jose
2P 2906 Antique – Manila

CebGo
DG 6041 Manila – Busuanga
DG 6042 Busuanga -Manila

The state weather bureau said Palawan (including Kalayaan Islands), Occidental Mindoro, and Western Visayas, of which Antique is part, will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms on Friday.

The bad weather is brought by the southwest monsoon, enhanced by a low-pressure area 835 km East of Davao City, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.

Meanwhile, the rest of Visayas will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms. – Xander Dave Ceballos, INQUIRER.net intern
