MANILA, Philippines — No typhoon may enter the country in the next few days, according to the state weather bureau, but overcast skies and rain may still occur in various parts of the country.
The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said the intertropical convergence zone and southwest monsoon or “habagat” will make skies cloudy and precipitation highly possible in Visayas, Bicol Region, Mimaropa (Mindoro Occidental, Mindoro Oriental, Marinduque, Romblon, and Palawan), and the Zamboanga Peninsula on Thursday.
“Wala tayong mino-monitor or namamataan na sama ng panahon na maaaring makaapekto dito sa ating bansa,” weather specialist Grace Castañeda said in a public weather forecast, which also noted there is currently no low pressure areas being monitored inside or near the Philippine area of responsibility.
Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country may see fair weather conditions with partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms also on Thursday.
Pagasa likewise did not raise a gale warning in any seaboards nationwide.
